From October to December 2017, hospital residency by Laetitia Legros with patients from Centre médical Le Roggenberg, Altkirch.
Drawings made in various regional museums—Musée Theodore Deck in Guebwiller, Musée d’Impression sur étoffes in Mulhouse, Musée sundgauvien in Altkirch—form a kind of observatory inside the space of the hospital, converting it into both a research laboratory and an exhibition venue.
Laetitia Legros graduated from École des Beaux-Arts de Bourges in 2003 (DNSEP Art) and Le Fresnoy, Studio national des arts contemporains in 2008. Her work resides at the intersection of drawing and image, still or moving, through the use of recording devices or contextual realisations involving visual writing in an active relationship with space. She teaches at ESA, Ecole Supérieure d'Art du Nord Pas-de-Calais, Dunkirk (drawing, research and creation workshops).
This residency received the support of DRAC Grand Est—Ministère de la Culture and Agence Régionale de la Santé. It was led by Claudine Stoessel, nurse.
