In October and November 2018 and 2019, research residency by the art collective Laboratoire des Hypothèses, with Jocelyn Desmares, Fabrice Gallis, Eddy Godeberge, Charline Guyonnet, Romaric Hardy, Arthur James, Sophie Lapalu, Frédéric Leterrier.
Laboratoire des Hypothèses consists of a group of people of various ages, backgrounds, forms and subjects. The collective is working on transforming an abandoned island—Pelée Island in the harbor of Cherbourg—into an autonomous base for artistic experimentation. If spaces convey norms and determine practices, the lab is working on countering these, so as to thwart the frameworks of analysis and dominant actions which impoverish our experience.
